Anyway, at least for the moment, the wind isn't blowing here. New Mexico gets non-stop strong winds for at least 3 months every Spring, and everything outside is desperately trying to conserve water. I am too, as I live off rainwater catch, and there hasn't been any for months. It's really the only downside of living here–no public utilities to fall back on when the weather is uncooperative.
Personally, I'm happy that the weather is the one thing we can't control, although I suppose I wouldn't say that if I was one of those people whose houses got blown away last night by a tornado. It does seem sometimes that there's a big foot up there arbitrarily picking out something to squash, so I guess you have to make the most of your time while you've got it.
